2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

02-13 / “M” is for “Magnificent”

Facing away from the ocean in Ashibe. One of my favorite things about this 365 Project is that it constantly forces me to remember how truly gorgeous Iki can be.  Sometimes it’s so amazing it just takes my breath away, and I get to see it every day.  It’s especially spectacular during cherry blossom season and later in the summer, during rainy season.  The former because of the beautiful, soft colors, and the latter because of the extremely vibrant greens that take over everything.

This was taken near Daiei (our friendly, neighborhood supermarket extraordinaire).  This is one of the rivers that criss-cross Iki, leading towards the ocean.
