2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

03-07

This is pudding. Seriously. This is pudding.

I’m not kidding.

プリン (purin) is how Japanese people pronounce pudding.

Because the “ddi” sound doesn’t exist in Japanese–they only have a “chi” and “ji” sound.  Don’t ask me why.  And the “ri” in Japanese is a strange mixture of r, l, and d.

It took me a looong time to remember that “purin” means pudding, because it sounds so different.

Anywho.
