2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

The Superstitions with some cacti and frowers.

No April Fools jokes.  I fail at practical joking.

I may not want to live here permanently, but Arizona truly does have some gorgeous scenery.  It’s especially impressive now, with all these adorable wildflowers blooming.  (Can’t get a good picture of the variety of wildflowers unless I’m next to the freeway.  I’m working on it.)  The blurry background is the Superstition Mountains, which supposedly had some gold once-upon-a-time, but I think they keep it around just because it’s got such interesting shape.  I tried to hike up them once in the summer… in 110+ degree heat.  Now would be a good time to go, because the temperature has yet to get above 90.  We’re getting close, though.
