2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

I refuse to acknowledge that they're cute. One of the former Iki ALTs, Yuka, came back to Iki for a visit.  Yuka was famous on the island, partially, for her maternal instincts as regarding the animal kingdom.  (At one point, she had five cats living in her tiny apartment.)  So it was a little bit on the hilarious side when, not long after she arrived, she found herself with two kittens again.  (It wasn’t actually Yuka finding them. I just think it’s funny.)

Though these kittens may or may not be adorable, I have taken the “Heart of Steel” pragmatic approach.  They are going to the pound tomorrow.  I maintain that it’s better than the plastic bag on the side of the road in which they were found.

  1. Aww! We just adopted a kitten recently that was found in a barn. He and his brother were only four weeks old. Thankfully we didn’t have to bottle feed him although he’s still getting powdered kitten milk replacement (he’s about six weeks now). It’s hard work with a kitten that young!
