2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

We have the best painters on little ol' Iki.This is what my grocery store looks like.  Multiply the area of this photo by about… five, and that’s the total size of the grocery store.  They actually fit quite a lot in there!  And really, the main difference between this grocery store and ones in America is the amount of processed foods, and who needs that junk, anyway?  (Please, ignore the soft-cookie oreos sitting on top of my microwave right now).  For Father’s Day, most of the grocery stores on the island are featuring these fantastically detailed paintings of fathers by kindergarteners.
