2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

Here in Japan, we like our appliances soggy.Have I mentioned that it’s rainy season?

Here we see some sodden appliances (I’m pretty sure they were broken before this) getting even more soaked in the rain.  Probably because Japan is so small, they’re pretty strict with their garbage and jazz like that.  You have to pay a pretty solid amount of money to get rid of old appliances and cars–though often the government will return that mola to you in the form of tax returns or tax incentives (similar to the $8000 tax incentive to buy a new house that sunsetted in April).
