2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

07-01 Hump Day!

This is such an interesting dragonfly.Though not raining, it was still disgustingly humid today.  The humidity makes it insect prime-time, and though usually that means dealing with an excess of spiders, mukade, cockroaches, ants, and a variety of other unwelcome creepy crawlies, it also can mean more interesting insects like this dragonfly, praying mantises, and butterflies.  (Iki has many beautiful butterflies, actually.  And they’re HUGE.)

I think my favorite part of this picture is that I took it with my point-and-shoot rather than my big SLR.  Proof that the most important part of photography is the person behind the viewfinder, and not the camera.

In other news, its so humid that my computer screen is fogging up… and not the surface.  The area beneath the monitor.  0_0  It’s a good thing I have Apple Care.

PS I’M HALFWAY THROUGH THE YEAR OMG I’VE TAKEN SO MANY PHOTOS!!!
