As Hong Kong was a British Protectorate for about 100 years, there is an understandably heavy British influence. Everything is written in both English and Chinese, for instance, and most of the explanatory info (on the subway or “tube,” for instance) is said with a British accent. (They also encourage you to, ahem, “Mind the Gap.”) This was taken in St. John’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral on the island and an Anglican church. It’s of a carving at the front pew, with the required stained-glass-of-Jesus in the background.
Had a fun time with my lensbaby today–especially when D-Mug and I went to an Aviary with about 600 birds. Lemme tell you, manually focusing on birds, especially with the control freak, = hard business.
