2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

Yay corn!

This reflects the remainder of my trip through China.  China denies any access to both facebook and wordpress, so I couldn’t update the blog.

From Chengdu, we braved the mud-slided roads to go visit the Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve.  When the roads are good, this trek takes about ten hours.  When the roads are bad it takes… eleven?  Everyone kept telling us that it would be like fifteen or sixteen hours (uuuuugh… done that before, and not fun), but actually, it took much less time than anticipated, which was splendid.

This is at one of our stops (which were thankfully frequent).  After using one of China’s putrid public bathrooms (I don’t think putrid is a strong enough word), we slathered on some hand sanitizer and then had a little bit of dinner: corn, grapes (for me), and an apple for Sabsy.

It’s no wonder that I lost so much weight.  0.0  Don’t worry, I’ll gain it back in Japan.
