2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

I enjoy my ice cream. This reflects the remainder of my trip through China.  China denies any access to both facebook and wordpress, so I couldn’t update the blog.

August 17 was a travel day, going from Langmusi to Lanzhou.  It’s a trip that’s supposed to take about eight hours… and it did…  Not quite so long as the Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou bus (11 hours), but these buses either smelled heavily of goat or sheep, or they were just disgusting.  This day was when I saw a man spitting onto the floor of the bus to clear his sinuses, not even caring about opening a window or using a trash can.  So.  Gross.

And also, when we got to Lanzhou, instead of taking a break and, yanno, eating, we ended up going straight to the airport.  Once there, we tried to find our hotel, and some kind gentleman offered to charge 100 yuan to take us there.  (About 17 dollars.)  I just laughed and laughed.  Eventually, we realized that we could WALK THERE.  And after we put our things down, we went to eat some delicious Lanzhou ramen and then I had an ice cream.
