2010 – Iki-shi, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, Earth

This doesn't look like a cactus to me.Here we have some of my boys practicing for Sport’s Day “Acrobatics” as they like to call it.  This particular position is named “the Cactus” and it involves boosting someone onto your shoulders, getting their feet planted on your thighs, and then using tension so this person can spread their arms and appear to fly.

They do a number of other acrobatic tricks, and often a HUGE PYRAMID.  These are practiced every year, as well, and usually are the same at most schools (or at least most schools on Iki).
