Today the Iki High School English club put on a really spectacular Halloween party for the local elementary school students. About 30 of them came to play Halloween-themed games, get free candy (given out to them by local merchants after they squealed, “To-rick o’ TREE!”), and dress up in fun awesome costumes. It was a great time, and I got to do a dry run of my “Other-Mother” costume, which was nice. The common response from the chitlins? “Her eyes are BUTTONS.” “Are they real?” “I don’t know.” “I think they’re REAL.” [look inquisitively at me. I smile back.]
Ah, to be young again.
