TANKs can be elegant, too.
The TANK and I had a fan dancing performance the day after Iki Thanksgiving, so at 8:30am, I dragged my ass out of my futon to get to our hair, make-up, and kimono-ifying appointment before we danced at 12:00.  We danced to 愛しき日々 (<—clickable, but not us dancing), and though we’re still clearly new at this, I think we did okay.  And it’s always fun to wear kimono.

TANK channels her inner Sayuri. Before our fan dancing performance, and after we got all Geisha-fied, TANK! and I travelled around Gounoura on a mad quest to find a blossoming plum tree so we could take stereotypical Japanese pictures next to it in our kimono and with our sweet silk umbrellas.  Luckily, we found success near the high school.  This tree was on the side of the road… and we got a lot of looks.  (A lot.)  Still, sometimes I think it’s really important to channel your inner diva, indulge that girl in a frilly-pink dress that usually is locked in the corner of your brain, the one that says “I WANT TO BE A PRETTY PINK PRINCESS.”  Well, we did that and more today, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

TANK!, thanks so much for joining fan dancing with me.  I look forward to our next performance!
